NORA Educators

By NORA's definition, an Educator is someone who is skilled in the teaching others. Educators play an important role in our Committee.

Role in NORA's Committee

Instructors- To teach and assist us in spreading education throughout the Oilheat Industry.

Manufacturers - To assist in spreading education throughout the Oilheat Industry on their products and knowledge.

Proctors - An individual who oversees the certification test. To make sure that the technician understands what is expected of them and that all testing is conducted in accordance with NORA standards.

Schools- An institution for instruction in installation, repair and maintenance of Oilheat systems.

 

NORA & NAOHSM's 

TRAIN THE TRAINER WORKSHOP 

NORA has teamed up with the National Association of Oilheating Service Managers (NAOHSM) to deliver two Train the Trainer classes every year.  These courses are assembled with trainers from schools, the industry and manufacturing companies.  The courses were presented by Harry Johnson, a professor from Penn State University, and Robert Hedden from Oilheat Manufacturer's Association.  The courses cover how to plan lessons, communication with adults, evaluation, new technologies and the new Silver Manual. NORA & NAOHSM will conduct additional sessions in the coming months. Email info@nora-oilheat.org to be put on the waiting list.
