Compilation of known education and training resources for the Oilheat Industry

In July of 2001, NORA first published a compilation of training and
education resources to the oilheat industry. The primary objective was
to identify and catalog sources that are available to individual retail
oil heating marketers for the purposes of educating personnel at the
management, technical, fuel delivery and customer representative levels.

Until now, the compilation was left unchanged since its original
creation in 2001. In August, communications were sent to the resources
listed in the second edition requesting updated information. As of
today, December 23, 2009, nearly half of the original compilation's
listed resources have replied, and further revised information was
retrieved from NAOHSM's school databases and NORA's updated education
information.

Please note that the compilation is a living document, and will be
maintained, revised, and electronically published as new information is
received. The compilation is a valuable resource to the industry only
when its listings are accurate, so we encourage you to submit or update
relevant information.

Education Survey

New NORA Patches

Sold in quantities of five at norastore.org, the new NORA Certified Technician patch shows your customers, co-workers and employer that you are the best of the best. NORA Certified Technician patches show that you are a professional technician with a proven and assessed track record. This patch signifies that you are a skilled & experienced bronze certified technician who has successfully attended a series of assessed course programs. The National Oilheat Research Alliance has launched a new up-to-date flame as the company's corporate identity. The NORA flame is the primary symbol representing NORA during the last 5 years. The NORA logo is being modernized into a metallic version that will be displayed on NORA products and it will be used as new patches for NORA technicians. The move to the flame is a key component of NORA’s revitalization strategy. NORA partnered with Don Farrell to make the new NORA Patch come alive.
